Dr. Kelley Deak is thrilled to be joining Seymour Eye Clinic and looks forward to serving the local community with compassionate, comprehensive eye care. Originally from Muncie, Indiana, she earned her honors degree from Ball State University in 1994, followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University in 1998.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Deak has primarily practiced in Columbus, Indiana, and has also cared for patients in Greensburg, Shelbyville, Greenwood, Bloomington, Bedford, Lexington, Greenfield, and Indianapolis. She is board certified to manage a wide range of ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She is highly skilled in fitting multifocal and toric contact lenses and enjoys providing emergency eye care, including red eye treatment and foreign body removal.
Dr. Deak is passionate about integrating wellness into her care approach. She completed coursework with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2015 and is a member of the Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society, as well as the AOA and IOA. She has also participated in international eye care missions to Guanajuato, Mexico, and Malawi, Africa, and volunteers locally through Prevent Blindness Indiana, Volunteers in Medicine, and the InfantSEE program.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Deak is a proud mom of four adult children and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys acrylic fluid art, reading, traveling, kayaking, cycling, and hiking.
